Why Am I Still Here?

Sometimes we feel stuck. My story is that I do not feel stuck in my life, but lately I've been having chronic dreams, unresolved dreams, mixing in past relationships, that leave me with the impression of feeling stuck again.  At least this time, I feel curious about the stuckness rather than miserable and imprisoned. Curiosity, I believe, did not kill the cat, but rather, saved her. Dreams, among other things, are a means to heal us...aka enable us to release feelings that we repressed in our past. I've said this before but it bears repeating. The only way out of our self created despair, our self created hell, is through love of ourselves. I cannot speak from experience of living through torture inflicted by others, but I have lived through several bouts of self torture. On the other hand, most of us running around with chronic  Western culture stress, and physical aches and pains, and constant striving for body perfection or chronic body shame,...

Pandemic Awakening: Root Chakra Fear

Pandemic Awakening: Root Chakra Fear

We are in what seems like the winding down of the COVID 19 pandemic. I understand it is not all about a paid vacation and more gardening and family time for everyone, that some people really are sick from it and suffering. I'm not removing any of the attention and validity that those affected by it deserve. What I'm about today is recognizing that this slowed down, changed time, has given us all either more space to reflect on how we feel, to globally become aware of ourselves and thoughts and behavior, or it has intensified our previously held fears....
