Something Wonderful is About to Happen
Posted by Joanna Rubini on
I have spent time and focus on healing -physical, emotional, traumatic, and spiritual. Which we now all probably understand is all interconnected!! I have gotten adept at time travelling into my past and revising my perception of events and rewriting my story thereafter about what happened and why and what it means about me. And yet, bad things still seemed to come up. Things going awry, mal-intending people coming into my experience, despite my clear belief that I am a good person who is loving and kind and deserves love and kindness in her experience. If we create our reality with our...
Oversensitivity
Posted by Joanna Rubini on
There is no oversensitivity. We have stories that lead to our thoughts that lead to our beliefs that lead to our feelings. When we are easily wounded, our story might be that other people have power over us. Or that other people's opinion or judgment of us trumps our own opinion of ourselves. Or that a constructive comment means we are inherently flawed and therefore...worthless and unlovable. I liken the experience of having hurt feelings to being an injured animal that lashes out in defense of its hurt self, because it wants nothing to get close enough to see its inadequacy...

The Power of Suggestion in Healing, in Life, in Love: "I Am..."

We are all story tellers: "I am good at this, I am deficient at that. I excel at this, I am impaired doing that. I am enjoying this, I am bored with that." All of our talk- which is largely happening inside of our brains and not even being spoken aloud- directs our ship. What is our ship? Our bodies. So our thoughts and talk are, however subtle, the blue print for the plan and the directions for the voyage. For example, I have a family member who struggles with sub-optimal oxygen absorption, aka less than ideal lung function. I can hear her:...

Full Body Pain
Posted by Joanna Rubini on
Sometimes, our entire bodies ache. Whether from the flu, from an accident, or from perceived wear and tear on our human bodies due to physically demanding jobs or activities...chances are possible that the source of it is self hatred. There is no need to rush into an adamant NO here because there is no right or wrong answer. Full body pain speaks (screams) for itself. "I HATE YOU!" We are usually hating ourselves unconsciously, which can be slippery and hard to detect, hence the message of full body pain. I got the self hate disease a couple of years ago. It...

Why Am I Still Here?
Posted by Joanna Rubini on
Sometimes we feel stuck. My story is that I do not feel stuck in my life, but lately I've been having chronic dreams, unresolved dreams, mixing in past relationships, that leave me with the impression of feeling stuck again. At least this time, I feel curious about the stuckness rather than miserable and imprisoned. Curiosity, I believe, did not kill the cat, but rather, saved her. Dreams, among other things, are a means to heal us...aka enable us to release feelings that we repressed in our past. They allow us to request, seek, and receive that which we wanted but did...
